Jessica resigned from the television series 7th Heaven in season six. In the movie Ulee's Gold, she gained instant recognition for her excellent acting. The performance she gave in the film earned her the title of Best Supporting Youth Actress. Summer Catch, the comedy film in which she stars is a testament to her outstanding acting talents. Despite her brilliant performance, Rules of Attraction was not a big hit. The role she played on The Texas Chainshaw Massacre, the horror film that she starred in attracted the attention of the world.
