Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and then went on to a three-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in all the fights. Then, she went to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen by unanimous decision. It left a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent match with Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by the first round TKO. Her next bout was a win in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen's superior wrestling skill defeated McGill, and she was able to end her fight in the third round by TKO (elbows and strikes). She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 at catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd did not reach her weight, but Aspen was a dominant Hoy and finished her off in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final bout with the club. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a an unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina through her ground and pound techniques and earned a TKO second round victory. The next time she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd was victorious in the first round and was awarded the performance of the Night Prize. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first major match. Ladd, who won the unanimous decision after some great exchanges among the pair of fighters was awarded her Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her win streak. After a short break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. In a match that was a replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
