She was born in Santa Monica in California on 26 November 1986. She is the daughter of her father Vincenzo and maternal grandmother Valerie Barba. When she was six, her family moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey. She completed her secondary schooling at the age of six in New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. She was a graduate of Catholic University in New Jersey with a bachelor's degree. A violinist since age 4"Violingirl" was her name. Because of her talents that she was referred to under the title Violin Girl. She also taught violin to neighborhood kids. In the six season of American Idol, she sang Free in 1976 when she was just nineteen. The show eliminated her after the 16th rank. She has sung several songs like 2009's "The Christmas Song The Christmas Song' as well as the 2010's Out for Blood. The singer has also been featured on the shows of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
