Rodrigo Alves was born to A Brazilian mother and a British father at the end of July 30th 1983 . She was born in Sao Paulo. Her father, Roserval Alves, hailed from an ethnically Portuguese family which arrived in Brazil in the early 1940s. At first, the family were involved in farming but later expanded their business responsibilities into supermarkets, shopping centers and real estate. She was five years old when her grandfather gave his daughter Barbie dolls. However, even though Alves was born male, at birth, but from "the age of three or four, five or six" she believed she was be female, had dolls, and was cross-dressed. [6][7] She feels people do not have to be defined in terms of gender. When she was younger, she was bullied and shy. Alves was bullied as a teenager as she was suffering from hormone imbalance. The excess estrogen in her body caused breast tissue to increase. Alves was born into the family of a couple who run several supermarkets in Brazil. They have been wealthy for many years, however they still don't earn any money from their stores. Alves moved to London in the year she turned 18, and studied public relations in the London College of Communication. The money she has comes through an inheritance she received from her maternal grandmother.
