Prior to signing with Bad Boy Records, Machine Gun Kelly (born on 22 April the 22nd of April, 1990) is famous for his blend of hip hop. In 2012 his album Lace Up, his first studio album. It reached the top spot at four on the US Billboard 200. It featured his first single "Wild Boy" which was sung by Waka Flame. General Admission (2015) and Bloom (2016) were both commercially successful. The latter album contained the hit single "Bad Things" featuring Camila Cabello. It peaked at fourth place on Billboard's Hot 100. His fourth album, Hotel Diablo, was hip-hop rock. In the year 2020 Machine Gun Kelly's fifth album entitled Tickets to My Downfall (2020) was released. It was a departure from hip-hop as well as a transition to pop punk. The track "My Ex's best friend" came out at the top spot on the Billboard 200. It was the first rock album to reach the same position. The album also achieved the same commercial success following the release of the sequel, Mainstream Sellout (2022).Machine Gun Kelly had his first major role in the romantic drama Beyond the Lights (2014) In the following years, he was in the techno-thriller Nerve (2016) as well as the horror Bird Box (2018), the comedy Big Time Adolescence and was the lead character Tommy Lee in the biopic The Dirt (both 2019)
